Big Boy Borja es un proyecto artístico satírico que critica el clasismo, el elitismo y la ilusión de valor en un sistema impulsado por la riqueza y la automatización. El personaje Big Boy Borja, basado en la imaginería de los espectáculos minstrel pero intencionalmente invertido, encarna la arrogancia de la élite moderna, con rasgos exagerados y ojos negros e insectoides que simbolizan el núcleo corrupto del capitalismo.

Generado íntegramente mediante herramientas automatizadas (desde el concepto hasta la impresión 3D), el proyecto cuestiona qué sucede cuando la tecnología sustituye no solo el trabajo, sino también la creatividad. Al eliminar al creador humano del proceso, Big Boy Borja desafía la idea de un arte “humano” y expone el vacío detrás del sueño de una producción sin fricciones, sin ganancias y para el público.

Cómo conseguir tu propio Borja

Una vez que encontremos el barrio al que queremos llegar, una semana antes de comenzar las entregas haremos lo siguiente.

1 - Avisarte dónde

Una vez que las hayamos colocado en el Barrio, publicaremos en Instagram un video donde podrás ver dónde están colocadas por el barrio.

2 - Compartir las ubicaciones

Big Boy Borja is a satirical art project that critiques classism, elitism, and the illusion of value in a system driven by wealth and automation. The character Big Boy Borja, based on minstrel-era imagery but intentionally inverted, embodies the arrogance of the modern elite, with exaggerated features and ever-present black, insect-like eyes symbolizing capitalism’s corrupt core.

Entirely generated through automated tools (from concept to 3D print), the project questions what happens when technology replaces not only labor but creativity itself. By removing human makers from the process, Big Boy Borja challenges the idea of “human” art and exposes the empty dream of frictionless, profit-free production for the public.
