NEONBRUTE

A FLUORESCENT JOURNEY INTO THE
MUNDANE USING BRUTALISM

BLACK

The Rawness of using and exposing basic materials transports oneself to the nucleus of intention, the raw concept, the primary idea, the sketch, and the controversy of unfinished.

The Artificial pigments of fluorescent colours allow us to view the same lines and strokes in different ways, understanding that external factors as light influence our reality.

The Blackout is a representation of the closed concept of focus of attention, the finite housing of abstract to concrete, and the natural analytical identification of things.

NEONBRUTE

This ongoing project is a journey into discovering and
showcasing how one views the world through the lens
of mundane experiences, that move towards
isolation and depersonalization.

RAW

“The Rawness of using and exposing basic materials transports oneself to the nucleus of intention, the raw concept, the primary idea, the sketch, and the controversy of unfinished.”

Following these principles to which I’ve felt great attraction towards, every piece that I create has the intention of using raw or “crude” materials. Applying this in either shape or form allows me to sediment the object as the common starting point for each piece, the tangible and recognizable attachment of reality.

FLUOR

“The Artificial pigments of fluorescent colours allow us to view the same lines and strokes in different ways, understanding that external factors as light influence our reality.”

Continuing this influence, the use of fluorescent is meant to highlight or expose parts of a common reality that is viewed by the masses. As well as when changing light or external factors, we can view the distortion of that perceived reality into another.

BLACK

“The Black Out is a representation of the closed concept of focus of attention, the finite housing of abstract to concrete, and the natural analytical identification of things.”

With this, the blackout creates both a fixed and open representation of what we may know. Allowing us to depict and reinforce the distortion of this, marking and presenting the difference between perceived realities simultaneously.
